GBCA collaborate with Ability English to provide student Pathway Courses

GBCA collaborate with Ability English to provide student Pathway Courses

GBCA has entered into a recognition arrangement with our partner- Ability English (RTO No.22172 CRICOS Number: 03024A).

This recognition arrangement could help Ability English student’s gain direct entry into GBCA’s Vocational programs when they successfully complete their Ability English Course. GBCA can offer students the following courses:

Diploma of Interpreting (Mandarin – English, Spanish – English), Diploma of Business, Diploma of Information Technology and various Bachelor programs in Commerce, IT and others.

Furthermore, students who successfully complete GBCA’s Diploma of IT may gain up to one-year credit exemption for the Bachelor of IT at University of Canberra or Deakin University. Students completing GBCA’s Diploma of Business may gain up to one-year credit exemption for the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at University of Canberra.

This is a great opportunity for Ability English students to have various options and fulfill their dreams of studying and working in Australia.

Student Satisfaction with GBCA Remains High

Thank you to all of our students who took part in the end of unit student survey! The results were very enlightening for us at GBCA. We are so glad to see our students marked the results we were impressed with:

  • More than 99% of our students were satisfied with the training overall!
  • More than 97% of students strongly agreed and satisfied that they felt the training prepared them for work.
  • 97.5% of students satisfied our training facilities and materials.

GBCA has entered into  an recognition arrangement with Explore English ( RTO No.22172 CRICOS Number: 03024A).

This recognition arrangement facilitates direct entry to GBCA’s Vocational programs. Students who successfully complete General English – upper intermediate or English for Academic English 1 at the NEAS accredited Explore English centre will automatically meet the English entry requirements into GBCA’s VET programs. Students completing GBCA’s Diploma of IT may gain up to one year credit exemption of the Bachelor of IT at University of Canberra and Deakin University. Students completing GBCA’s Diploma of Business may gain up to one year credit exemption of the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at University of Canberra.

First outstanding teacher and student awards ceremony

On Friday 27th April, Global Business College of Australia (GBCA) and the University of Canberra-Melbourne (UC-GBCA) held their first outstanding teacher and student awards ceremony. More than 20 teachers and students participated in this event. The awards included the “Outstanding Contribution Award”, “Outstanding Student Award” and “Outstanding Academic Award” for the best performance of GBCA and UC-GBCA teachers and students in the past year.

Ian Cross, the award-winning teacher representative, shared all his experiences in teaching and educating people. He thanked UC-GBCA for comprehensive resources and support for both teachers and students. He said that this award is an encouragement for staff and students. As a qualified university teacher, he is not only good at teaching, but also at understanding students’ thinking. Based on this understanding of his students, his teaching methods become more effective as well.

Afterwards, the student representative Juan Manuel Andrade made a speech. He expressed his thanks to UC-GBCA teachers and staff. He mentioned that “studying the undergraduate course of IT at the University of Canberra in Melbourne is a perfect choice for me. UC-GBCA teachers are professional and patient. They not only give me careful guidance in my studies but also thoughts and support for everything in my life. In addition, I can use the rich learning resources of UC and GBCA, and enjoy learning and living in Melbourne, the most livable city in the world.”
