How To Apply

Our application process is simple, just follow the five steps below.

For Domestic Students

Step 1: Gather Your Documentation

You will need to submit the following documents with your application:

  • Copy of your Medicare Card, Australian Passport or Foreign passport with a permanent resident visa.
  • Evidence of residential address in Victoria (driving licence or utility bill…)
  • Certified copies of your recent academic transcripts and qualifications (if any)

Step 2: Course Credit/ Recognition of Prior Learning (If Applicable)

Students can apply for course credit on the basis of their previous studies in accordance with GBCA’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Policy and Procedure.

Step 3: Complete the application for enrolment form and send it to us

Option 1: Complete the following paper-based application form:

If you wish to apply for a government funding place, please also complete the following:

Send all three (3) completed form with all documents in Step 1 to admissions@gbca.edu.au

Option 2: If you wish to apply for a government funding place, please complete the following:

Attach all documents in Step 1; Student Declaration Form and the SR013 – Pre training review form with the online application.

Step 4

GBCA course advise will contact you to discuss your application. You may be required to complete a language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) test and a digital skills test. This is to identify any special learning needs or support requirements during your study. Based on the test result, GBCA may determine to:

  • Offer you a place to study the course that you applied for, or
  • If your LLN profile is a little different from the profile required for the course you applied for, GBCA will offer additional supports to assist your study, or
  • Offer you an alternative course that suit your interest, aspiration, LLN profile and current digital skills.

Step 5: Offer of Admission

GBCA will issue a letter of offer with details of orientation date after completing Step 4.

If you are eligible for government funding place, government contributions and student contributions will be detailed on the letter of offer.

Step 6: Accept the offer and attend the orientation

You will be required to pay any fees as listed on the offer prior to being accepted to GBCA.

At orientation, GBCA training support staff will discuss:

  • your training plan and timeframe to complete your training program,
  • GBCA policies and procedures,
  • Student code of ethics
  • Specific requirements under government funding programs.
  • Others…

For International Students

Step 1: Gather Your Documentation

You will need the following documents to go with your application:

  • A certified copy of your passport
  • Certified copies of your recent academic transcripts and qualifications
  • A certified copy of your English level documentation

Most of our courses have standard entry requirements: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent and successful completion of Year 11.

Step 2: Course Credit/ Recognition of Prior Learning (If Applicable)

Students may apply for course credit on the basis of their previous studies in accordance with GBCA’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Policy and Procedure.

Step 3: Complete the application for enrolment form and send it to us

Step 4: Offer of Admission – International Student Acceptance Agreement

  • We will process your application and if you’re successful we’ll send out the following via email:
    • Letter of Offer; or
    • Letter of Offer – Conditional

    You will need to read and sign the acceptance agreement which is incorporated on the offer

Step 5: Paying Your Tuition Fees

  • Email the signed acceptance agreement, evidence of payment and any required documents to admissions@gbca.edu.au

Step 6: Enrolment Confirmation

  • Once your payment is cleared by GBCA finance department, you’ll receive a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) for your visa application, as well as an orientation notice.
