9th of September: The China Chamber of Commerce Australia (CCCA) hosted the 2016 General Meeting in a gala banquet event held in the Sheraton Hotel in Melbourne.
Eman Liu, CEO of the Global Business College of Australia (GBCA) was welcomed as a new member at the event. As a major annual Chinese business gathering in Australia, the gala was attended by more than 70 Chinese entrepreneurs, as well as the new Chinese Consul General in Melbourne Zhao Jian, Commercial Counsellor Wang Xiao Jia and Consul Dai Wei, who moderated the event.
The CCCA was established in 2006; it is a not-for-profit organization funded by the Australian Chinese Embassy with chapters in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. The Chamber was established to serve the business interests of their members, while promoting Sino-Australian economic and trade relationships.
In August 2016, GBCA passed the CCCA Board review to become a CCCA member. For GBCA, this membership marks a landmark opportunity to contribute to a broader public platform and to play a stronger social responsibility role in Sino-Australian business relations.
As a Chinese private education institution with its first international campus in Australia, GBCA promotes overseas education by building closer bilateral ties between Australia and China.
In her inaugural CCCA member’s speech, Eman Liu stated: “we will integrate academic fields to contribute to the future development of the education industry in Australia. In addition, we aim to develop a systemic educational system, while continuing to learn and exchange ideas in the academic communities of Australia and China.”
