Job Description:

  • Management and processing of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll.
  • Delivery of the month end financial statements and weekly/monthly reporting.
  • Review bank reconciliation and authorize payments.
  • Review month end accounts reconciliation to all balance sheets accounts are fully reconciled.
  • Prepare annual budget and forecast per GBCA’s business strategies; Perform on-going financial analysis to the management team.
  • Preparation of tax submissions, including FBT, BAS and PAYG.
  • Briefing of the Board on the financial performance of the business against budget, including the identification of key business drivers and potential risks.
  • Actively identify the improvements in current process and procedures to improve efficiency of the finance function to the organization.
  • Manage the government income (Skills First) in line with the Skills First contract requirement, including but not limit to:
    • Record government income separately from other sources of income.
    • Ensure government income are used for Skills First eligible students ONLY.
  • Fulfil other duties as required by management.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Commerce with a major in Accounting or Finance
  • CA/CPA qualified with strong technical accounting skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability and willingness to be an individual contributor in key areas
  • Mandarin Speaker required
  • Be a team player with the ability to support an energetic and innovative management team with the financial disciplines and experience required for business success

Student Recruitment Manager

About the business

Global Business College of Australia (GBCA) is a nationally recognized training organization and VET training provider, it also a campus of an international tertiary education group. GBCA offer a wide range of vocational courses to international and domestic students (under Skills First program). GBCA and its sister company, Advantage Institute Australia (EIA), forms an education group (the group) to deliver the whole range of educational services for ELICOS, vocational courses to Bachelor programs in Melbourne.

Student Recruitment Manager will lead focuses on channel management, lead generation and conversion that will support GBCA and EIA in achieving student load targets. The incumbent is responsible for market forecasting, the development and implementation of comprehensive and creative marketing and recruitment strategies and objectives for a group of prioritized source countries. Regional allocation for the portfolio will be determined based on the group’s strategic priorities based on a regular assessment of student flow, market opportunities and growth potential and the current experience of the incumbent. Job tasks and responsibilities

Plan and implement student recruitment plan and strategies for both short and long term.

Cooperate with the Marketing Team to implement marketing campaigns and tactics to recruit students, monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.

Cooperate with the Compliance Manager to ensure the student recruitment process is compliant with all aspects of all aspects of Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015, Higher Education Threshold, and Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Framework.

Keep updated with current and future marketing trends

Establish and manage on-going positive relationships with onshore and offshore education agents

Liaise with recruitment agents to ensure the quality and compliance of marketing materials for agent use and provide report and feedback on each educational agent regularly.

Assist in the student application and enrolment process, including direct leads conversion.

Other tasks that may be assigned by the group from time to time.

Skills and experience

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or other related discipline

Preferred Skills

At least 2-3 years’ experience in recruiting students to meet targets.

Proven ability in formulating and implementing strategy to meet targets.

Experience in internal and external stakeholder management, building and managing relationships, networks and partnerships and an ability to influence decision-making.

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and an ability to develop innovative and creative solutions and strategies.

Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills with an ability to relate positively on an individual basis with a broad range of people, from students to staff of GBCA and elsewhere.

Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills including high level presentation and public speaking skills.

Demonstrated experience to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-cultural situations.

Recruitment experience in onshore and offshore markets.

To deliver the GBCA and EIA enrolment targets, we are looking for a talented person to join the student recruitment and marketing team, focusing on converting leads generated from agent networks and direct marketing activities. The successful candidate will support the implementation of sales and marketing plans in direct and agent channels to achieve student enrolment targets. This is a sales-driven and rewarding role with career progression to a regional student recruitment manager.    

  

Job tasks and responsibilities:

  • Expand agents’ network and strengthen the relationship with agents to drive student recruitment numbers;  
  • Convert leads to students and meet enrolment targets;   
  • Follow up on prospective students’ enquiries on course information and applications via email, SMS and/or phone;  
  • Build and maintain an accurate database of contacts and sales activities in CRM systems;  
  • Develop reporting on student pipeline and market forecast and provide student feedback to the marketing team for campaign planning;   
  • Nurture relationships with prospective students via email and regular calls;   
  • Liaison with assigned recruitment agents and partners to ensure the quality and compliance of marketing materials for agents’ use and provide reports and feedback on each educational agent regularly;  
  • Provide insights on South East Asia education markets and contribute to international students’ recruitment plans;  
  • Administration duties and other duties as required

  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales role;

  • Understand Southeast Asia culture and speak a language other than English;
